Teachers’ Day

Virtual Teachers’ Day Celebration

“We don’t grow when things are easy, we grow when we face challenges”.
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought with it challenges for teachers worldwide who had to overnight embrace the new ‘Online Teaching’ style. And therefore to appreciate their hardwork an online teachers’ day program was organized on 5th September, Saturday.
On receiving a beautiful invitation video, the teachers of all the three sections i.e. Secondary, Primary and Pre-primary were all set to experience their first ever virtual teachers’ day celebration. The program began sharp at 9:00 a.m as the hosts welcomed the dignitaries. The soulful prayer service began with illuminating the lamp of hope i.e lighting of lamp followed by a divine prayer dance.
As a part of the entertainment program the tiny tots of the pre-primary section wished the teachers in their sweet innocent way through a video. Miss Nafiah Qureshi from the primary section expressed her gratitude towards the teachers through a hindi speech. The students of the primary section even performed a joyous dance.
“Gratitude is one of the least articulate of the emotions, especially when it is deep” – Felix Frankfurter . In these tough times, even our teachers were serving as frontline workers, managing both their personal and professional lives at the same time. To put a light on the hardships faced by teachers Master Aaron Silveira from the secondary section delivered an eloquent speech in English.
The students of the secondary section performed a lyrical dance and a hilarious giggly skit. As a surprise element a heart-touching album was prepared which consisted of the photos of the teachers along with meaningful quotes followed by cake cutting ceremony.
To add fun to the program, games like online housie, riddle game, spot prizes were arranged. In all, though everyone was caged in their own homes it was a delightful time spent together virtually and truly was a day to remember.
